Belva, of course, was the first female lawyer admitted to practice before the US Supreme Court. This cover is special because it was mailed on the day in 1966 the stamp honoring Ms Lockwood was issued--plus, it also bears the 1953 stamp issued to honor the American Bar Association. We have placed the cover in a hard plastic stand for easy viewing and protection.
