King Arthur Chess Set - King Arthur's Court Chess Set

This is a beautiful collector's chess set. Crafted with painstaking workmanship and painted in exquisite detail, King Arthur's court is represented in full color. The legendary characters from Camelot are the featured pieces. Arthur, of course, is the King. The Queen is Guinevere. Merlin, here the bishop, had warned Arthur that Guinevere would betray him. She ultimately fell in love with Lancelot, Arthur's most beloved knight, here the Knight. Lancelot's love for the Queen began the war which would ultimately destroy Camelot, here the Rook or Castle. Pawns are Arthur as a young strapping lad. The pieces are made of compressed resin and then handpainted. The board has a wood frame around the plastic playing surface.
